Vena Integration Specialists
In our experience, automated data integration is not implemented nearly enough in planning tool projects. The benefits are huge; it's hard to put a price on not having to manually export, manipulate and re-import data every month, week or day.
As it happens, our Consulting Director wrote the book about data integration - or at least a book - and Northexis projects default to fully automated integrations with Vena, unless there's a good reason not to.
First, Vena has a great library of standard connectors - where you use any of these, they are an easy choice for automation.
However, even where your organisation uses one of more of these systems, the chances are pretty good you have others too. For those, Northexis uses Microsoft technology, specifically Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory). If you've never heard of those, don't worry! All you need to know is:
- Vena has standard connectivity into these platforms, reducing the workload to connect additional systems.
- It's Microsoft integration technology: it will scale to any data requirement in a way that proprietary technology built by a planning software vendor simply can't compete with.
Some recent connections include:
As an Authorised Integration Partner of iplicit, we have built a standard iplicit connector for Vena, leveraging the power of iplicit Enquiries - providing a ready to go integration option for iplicit customers looking for an FP&A solution. Our approach speeds up the integration project, as our connector simply piggybacks off your Enquiries; should Enquiries not be suitable for your requirement, we can also connect to any other area of the iplicit API.
Like all SAP ERPs, there's a variety of ways to configure and host a Business One database. In our customer's case, we've bridged an on-premise HANA database into the cloud to automatically update Vena, including both data and metadata (the "data about the data", such as project codes and the like).
Xledger has powerful GraphQL capabilities for authorised third parties to access data - GraphQL is simply a way of building an API that allows for precise targeting of what data you want, typically in fewer queries. The Northexis Xledger connector for Vena makes full use of the benefits of GraphQL, enabling us to implement Xledger integrations to Vena quickly, with performant processes regardless of how much data you need to automate.
Xero is an incredibly popular accounting system, but its API is a bit unusual. To make integrating Vena with Xero easy, we've put together a standard connector for it; accessing their Reports API for standard reports like the Trial Balance, and allowing access to other APIs like Manual Journals.
